Vendor Privacy & Data Protection Policy

This policy explains how Meradh Luxurious ("Meradh"), operated by MERADH LUXURIOUS PRIVATE LIMITED, collects and uses your data as a Vendor, and sets out your obligations regarding the customer personal data you receive through the platform. It should be read together with the Vendor Terms and the Marketplace Seller Agreement.
Vendor data we collect
To onboard and operate your seller account, we collect:
- Business identity — legal/business name, GSTIN, PAN, and authorised contact person;
- Contact details — email, phone, registered and pickup addresses;
- Bank/settlement details — account number, IFSC, or UPI for payouts;
- Operational data — product listings, orders, returns, settlements and support activity.
How we use your data
We use your data to verify and manage your seller account, publish your listings, route and settle orders, calculate commission and taxes (including TDS 0.1% (Section 194-O) and TCS), generate reports, provide support, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.
Customer data you receive (your obligations)
When you fulfil an order, Meradh shares limited customer personal data with you — typically the customer's name, delivery address and contact number. In respect of this data you act as a data processor on Meradh's behalf and you must:
- Use it solely to pack, ship and support that order;
- Not retain it longer than necessary, and not use it for your own marketing or any other purpose;
- Not sell, share or transfer it to any third party except your delivery/courier partner as needed for that order;
- Protect it with reasonable security safeguards and report any data breach to Meradh without undue delay.
Misuse of customer data is a material breach and may lead to suspension, penalties and legal action.
How we share data
We share your business data with our payment gateway (for settlements), logistics partner (for pickups/shipping), and service providers who support the platform, as well as with authorities where required by law. We do not sell your data.
Security & retention
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data and retain it as long as your account is active and thereafter as required for legal, tax and accounting purposes.
